As an indie filmmaker, it can be frustrating which is why we’ve taken out the leg work for you by making a list of the Top 5 events going on.

5. Toronto Spanish Film Festival 2016

This festival is one of the biggest Spanish languages festivals around organized by the Organized by SPAIN arts & culture and Revue Cinema and if you would be missing out on some serious cinema if you don’t attend.

4. Anime! At the Revue! Spirited Away on the big screen!

Everyone likes anime and this is one of the greatest films ever made from Studio Ghibli. Why not check it on the big screen while you can?

3. 24th Toronto Jewish Film Festival

This festival is a showcase of all the Jewish talent there is available from the small indie filmmakers to big budget. You do not want to to miss this event.

2. Hot Docs 2016

Some say that the best sort of film is is reality so why not spend an evening seeing some of the best documentary films the world has to offer.

1. In Love With the Stars

With this rare glimpse into TIFF’s massive reference archive, you get to see all celebrity insights you can handle. Some say the stars the make the film so what better way to find an answer to that question than attending this exhibition?
