Yes, there are more festivals in Toronto than just TIFF and Hot Docs. By the way, did you know that there are two “TIFF”s?

One is the TIFF everyone knows, and the other is the “Toronto Independent Film Festival”; a festival you have a hugely greater chance of getting into than the regular TIFF. And the best thing is, you can brag “Hey my movie premiered at TIFF” and technically not be lying.

Videodrunk was founded in 2014 by M Rooney in an effort to create a film festival that shows a variety of genres and styles in a non-cinema environment to small active audiences fueled by their love of film and beer. Videodrunk is a party of a film festival.

WILDsound MONTHLY Film & Screenplay Festival (link)

The RULES are simple: Make a film. They screen shorts and features of any genre. Length of films screened are from 10 seconds to 3 hours.

Zoom Student Film Festival (link)

Zoom Student Film Festival accepts entries from students aged 18 and younger. They ask that all submissions be kept within a running time of no longer than eight minutes (including credits).

Please refrain from any form of nudity, excessive violence, swearing, gore, or other explicit content.
