Every Toronto Film Networking Event (Updated 2018)

Finding reliable crew to work with is tough.

It’s like going to hooker on Yonge street, “I can’t pay you but you’ll get full credit for the job… And I’m pretty sure there’s pizza.”

The second step is getting people to believe in your vision, which requires pitching and influence.

The first step is actually meeting people, which requires networking.

I scoff at traditional “networking events” if your purpose is getting connected in this industry, however they are great if your purpose is to get a feel for the community.

Below are all the networking events in Toronto that I could find. Leave a comment if I’m forgetting any. I read and respond to each.

Creatives Helping Creatives (link)

Consistently a great place to meet people in other creative fields such as graphic design, sound mixing, etc.  Most networking for film tend to just have Directors/Producers/Writers, you know, the usual.

But how often do you need more than that?  If you’re like me, then you’re constantly searching for an Art Director, or maybe even a website designer.

This is the place.
