Every New York Film Networking Event (Updated 2017)
Finding reliable crew to work with is tough.
It’s like going to hooker on 5th Ave., “I can’t pay you but you’ll get full credit for the job… And I’m pretty sure there’s pizza.”
The second step is getting people to believe in your vision, which requires pitching and influence.
The first step is actually meeting people, which requires networking.
I scoff at traditional “networking events” if your purpose is getting connected in this industry, however they are great if your purpose is to get a feel for the community.

Unlike most other events the focus is on talk about various matters of interest to film and video professionals. Past talks have been about distribution, VR, how to shoot food, and the next one is on music licensing.
